About the Artwork
ART MANEKI|TSUBAKI Teal (Left Hand)
is an art object that fuses the techniques of a workshop with over 100 years of history with THE MANEKI’s contemporary expression.
It reinterprets the quiet strength and serenity inherent in traditional Japanese craftsmanship into a modern form.
Concept & Interpretation
This piece was created with the themes of “health,” “harmony,” and “human connection.”
The raised left hand has long symbolized bonds and relationships between people.
Designed as an object that gently accompanies everyday life,
its meaning is left open to each viewer’s own interpretation.
TSUBAKI | Camellia
The camellia is a flower known for its glossy, deep green leaves
and its refined, uncluttered presence.
Blooming quietly from winter into spring,
it does not demand attention, yet continues to flower with dignity—
a reflection of the aesthetic sensibility that runs through Japanese culture.
This work layers that spirit of the camellia,
bringing it to life as a single piece where tradition and modernity intersect.
