Product Description
ART MANEI | TSUBAKI Flame (Left) is an art object that merges a century of traditional craftsmanship with the contemporary expression of THE MANEKI.
While based on the traditional structure of the Maneki-neko (beckoning cat), it has been reconstructed as a study of the relationship between color and form, free from fixed meanings or roles.
Inherent Interpretation
In this piece, color is not used to denote emotion or impulse. Instead, it symbolizes an internal caloric heat and a sustained sense of tension. It is not a flaring fire, but a state of being—an enduring presence held in quietude.
TSUBAKI | Camellia
The camellia is a flower that possesses vibrant color yet maintains a dignified structure without excessive ornamentation.
In the transition from winter to spring, it does not bloom to attract attention, but continues to stand with a constant poise. This work overlays the nature of the camellia onto its form, treating the color "red" not as an assertion, but as an integral part of the structure.
