Product Description

ART MANEKI | TSUBAKI Orange (Left) is an art object that merges a century of traditional craftsmanship with the contemporary expression of THE MANEKI.

While taking the traditional structure of the Maneki-neko (beckoning cat) as a starting point, it has been reconstructed as a study of the relationship between color and form, free from fixed meanings or roles.

Inherent Interpretation

The decoration of this piece is not intended to evoke liveliness or cheerfulness. Instead, the color symbolizes the state of internal heat just before it is released outward. It represents neither expansion nor impulse, but is held quietly as a sense of tension that lingers at the boundary.

TSUBAKI | Camellia

The camellia is a flower that possesses a powerful presence, yet its fundamental structure is extremely concise.

By layering a deep orange, the clarity of form and a stillness imbued with heat emerge simultaneously. In this work, orange is overlaid onto the structural beauty of the camellia, positioned not as movement, but as a "state prior to transition."
